Job Description:

Establishes and directs the strategic long-term objectives, policies, and procedures for an organization's web content. Directs the composition and development of written and graphical content for website to provide information on products and services or entertainment to site visitors. Determines the long-term systems needs and hardware acquisitions to accomplish the organization's business objectives. Develops detailed operational plans to include sales targets and marketing materials. Creates, maintains, and manages content of website by directing the gathering of information and the integration of data from other departments. Develops user interface and design standards, including improvement of features, to attract visitors to the website. Monitors trends and activities on the World Wide Web to develop guidelines to increase presence and improve design and usability. Collaborates with other departments, such as marketing and engineering, to ensure that site content is accurate. Ensures the maintenance of the content database on technical specifications and compatibility issues. Performs proactive content management on functionality and price alterations of products. Monitors sales and makes recommendations to increase sales and gross profit, collaborating with purchasing and marketing teams. Provides on-going management of strategic partnerships. May finds and review potential, new product suppliers. May develop and leverage relationships with online content vendors that incorporate their products or services into the organization's technology.
