Job Description:

Plans, develops, and manages protocols and logistics to ensure the successful introduction and marketing of cost effective products/services. Conducts continuing review and analysis of assigned product/service lines to assure overall acceptability, product standardization, and cost containment. Formulates, prepares, and implements product plans and strategies contributing to the achievement of performance and financial objectives. Conducts detailed product/market assessments and prepares strategic and operating plans resulting in marketing strategies for successful introduction of products/services, which may include presentations, trials, collation of data/reporting to appropriate forums, implementation, coordination of in-service education, logistics for product placement, procurement, setting goals, and evaluating outcomes on an on-going basis. Participates in establishing and maintaining communication between the departments and other professionals regarding product protocols and the selections and distribution of products/services. Prepares necessary reports with respect to price and inflation trends, marketing trends, technology trends, and product use trends. Acts as central repository for current knowledge regarding assigned product groups, in order to ensure knowledgeable business decisions. Assists with the development of standard specifications for approved products/services. Assists in the identification and evaluation of new product opportunities to maximize penetration of acceptable and cost effective products/services. Functions as project leader, monitoring and managing the progress and evaluation of new alternative products/services within the organization. Reviews on an annual basis each current project with regards to performance objectives, positive and negative variances, and cost containment. Assesses and develops detailed communication plans for seminars, in-service programs, educational programs and other tools for increasing customer knowledge and awareness of cost effective products/services.
