Job Description:

Provides clinical and technical support for specialized medical equipment or areas that provide specialized care to patients. Develops, administers, and ensures compliance with quality assurance measures that monitor the consistency and quality of services provided to specialized medical equipment. Monitors and enforces accreditation standards for the environment of care. Trains Biomedical Engineering Technicians and equipment operators on the proper operation and maintenance requirements associated with specialized medical equipment. Develops and assures adherence to Clinical Engineering practices and general departmental policies. Recommends equipment purchases and standardization to supervisor based upon history and experience with use of equipment.
