Job Description:

Manages the editorial staff who write, prepare, and review articles to be used in company publications. Directs and coordinates editorial activities of the Communications Department. Develops, implements, and ensures conformance to editorial policies and standards. Serves as advisor to editing team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Performs writing, copy editing, and senior editor functions for newsletters, press releases, and other corporate publications, including manuals, annual report, multimedia/video scripts, and internal memorandums. Manages copy flow, graphics, and images. Directs general page makeup of publication. Inspects and approves final copy. Assists with the management of company publications from conception of topics to collaboration with and management of the writing, editing, and publication phases. Confers with executive staff to discuss editorial policy, publication plans, changes in staff organization, and similar decisions and relays information to editorial staff. Develops plans for special projects and assigns staff to implement them. Initiates and conducts meetings with individuals and organizations involved in media development. Establishes and maintains working relationships with organizations and individuals in the field. Attends relevant internal and external meetings, conferences, and events.
