Job Description:

Responsible for administration, management, and long-range planning of the Home Care and Hospice Departments. Manages multiple disciplines which may include nursing services, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, social work, respite care, and home helpers. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing and five or more years of management experience in home care and hospice. Represents the organization in the service area and directs a coordinated team effort for patient care and customer service. Directs, supervises, and governs the home care and hospice programs including in-patient care, home care, and bereavement follow-up. Administers and maintains quality assurance, environmental, and infection control policies in accordance with objectives, policies, and procedures. Prepares reports regarding the activities of the operation. Directs and supervises the work of staff in providing for the care and needs of patients. Develops, maintains, and implements policies and procedures. Hires, trains, and motivates a qualified staff. Confers and cooperates with management personnel in formulating administrative and operational policies and procedures.
