Job Description:

Oversees operation of complex processing environment. Supervises employees who operate assigned stations along a processing line. Monitors processes and identifies and corrects any error as it occurs throughout the processing procedure. Ensures compliance with all specified procedures and regulations. Conducts physical inspection of equipment and processing system components. Troubleshoots operational and maintenance problems and directs the correction and repair of operational and/or equipment problems. Reads and interprets plans, specifications, blueprints, and schematics. Implements new technology when appropriate. Coordinates processing activities with other departments. Monitors operation for effective processing to maximize profitability without compromising quality. Schedules and utilizes labor effectively to assure adequate personnel are available and overtime is minimized. Develops productivity improvement and cost reduction strategies. Prepares and submits operational data and reports as required and requested, including providing necessary monitoring information to appropriate State and Federal agencies for compliance with environmental laws and regulations. Implements policies, procedures, technical manual guidelines, and other instructions pertaining to processing. Conducts employee meetings.
