Assures the ongoing development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services. Implements and maintains quality control program. Assesses and communicates recommendations for utilization of space, space needs, equipment, personnel and other resources as needed to meet patient needs. Maintains facility plant and equipment in optimal condition. Assists in the enforcement of interim life safety plans and infection control risk assessments. Directs new construction and renovation projects to include interpreting needs of staff, design areas for functionality and optimal space use, development of budgets and justifications, supervision of contractors in the performance of their duties, and working directly with state and local authorities to assure compliance with applicable regulations.
