Concentrating Solar Thermal Power Plant Operator:
Operates steam boilers, turbines, generators, and auxiliary equipment at solar thermal power generating plant to produce and store energy and deliver electricity for large alternative energy projects aimed at supplying electricity to utilities. Monitors system performance and responds to outages and equipment malfunctions.

Oversees daily operations of solar power plant. Maintains plant equipment with periodic inspections, and logs temperatures, pressures, and other important information at regular intervals. Operates switchgear to regulate and transfer power loads to protect maintenance workers engaged in repairing or cleaning equipment. Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair activities. Monitors control board and regulates equipment, according to procedures and information obtained from recording and indicating instruments. Records malfunctions of equipment, instruments, or controls on log sheet, prepares reports, maintains logs, manages inventory, and performs other required clerical tasks.
