Bakery Goods Sales Representative:
Sells bakery goods, such as breads, pastries, pies, and cakes, to new or existing wholesale customers, which may include business and convention centers, caterers, restaurants, and grocery stores, in assigned area or territory.
Creates prospect list and
gets new accounts.
Contacts and
interacts directly with new and existing wholesale customers or clients to explain nutritional content and/or flavor of bakery goods offered, utilizing persuasive sales techniques.
Describes and provides pictures and samples of products and suggests how customers would benefit from the quality of their appearance and taste. Answers all questions concerning products, with appropriate referrals where required. Calculates and quotes prices. Analyzes and determines customers’ needs and recommends appropriate products to meet those needs. Prepares forms or agreements, closes transactions, and secures orders. Establishes professional customer relationships with appropriate customer personnel. Submits time and expense reports to management. Investigates product guarantee claims to ensure resolution within organization policies. Analyzes and interprets records of present and past sales, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred for management. Keeps informed of new products and product changes that might affect product sales. Keeps informed of company contract procedures and product prices.
