Advertising Agent:
Plans advertising programs to promote the sale of a company's products or services. Creates advertisements that are presented to the public through a variety of media, such as television, newspapers, billboards, direct mail pieces, and the Internet, to generate sales for the client.
Serves as the client's main contact person in the advertising agency. Studies all of the pertinent details about the client company, the item or service that the company intends to get advertised, and how the customer wants it to be advertised. Orients the customer with what the agency has to offer and explains the production requirements, such as finances, supplies, and deadlines. Reviews advertising trends and consumer surveys. Organizes facts to plan advertising campaigns that may include Internet website campaigns. Consults with customers, company officials, sales departments, and advertising agencies to develop promotional plans. Budgets and submits estimates for advertising programs.
