Health Services Director:
Plans, directs, develops, and coordinates health services in an assisted living facility to provide continuity of quality care as well as quality of life for residents. Manages the Health Services staff and implements strategies relative to the development and management of services for resident care. Typically requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing, current licensure to practice professional nursing, and five years of related experience in long-term care.
Plans, evaluates, and takes responsibility for providing consistent and sufficient staffing to meet resident needs. Ensures that the medical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of residents are addressed in the plan of care. Trains, reinforces, and monitors employee use of appropriate techniques for effective assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of residents. Manages and coordinates placement and periodic health reviews and confidential medical record maintenance. Hires, develops, and manages a qualified staff concerned with providing quality care to residents. Ensures that adequate orientation is provided to all employees in the area.
