Personal Banker: Interacts with banking patrons to provide information and individualized customer service, including financial planning, loan processing, and other services. Prepares various types of new accounts and gives customer service on existing accounts. Assesses and okays overdrafts and checks for cashing. This position has more responsibilities than the customer service representative and is less specialized than a financial sales representative.
Provides financial planning services to banking customers, including investment, estate, and retirement planning. Assists loan applicants by explaining products, interest rates, and terms of mortgage or installment loans. Processes loan documentation by analyzing financial and credit information, and transmits crucial information to underwriting for verification and booking. Performs and schedules loan closings. Assists co-workers in analyzing and evaluating credit information on loan applications. Sells and cross-sells full range of banking products to new and existing customers. Contributes to business development program by performing duties attached to assigned accounts. Possesses thorough familiarity with products and services available to bank customers.
