Ticket Office Manager:
Supervises, plans, organizes, and controls the operations, activities, and staff of a central ticket office. Analyzes and plans for event needs for ticketing staff, equipment, supplies, and services and takes appropriate action based on budget limitations. Ensures reliability and accuracy of ticketing data base.
Coordinates advance ticket and gate sales, consulting with Marketing on promotional activities. Interprets, implements, and/or recommends changes to rules, regulations, policies, and procedures affecting the ticket office. Reconciles ticket sales with cash deposits and prepares reports or financial settlements regarding ticket office activities and events. Projects ticket office annual budget and monitors throughout the year. Participates in annual audit and interacts with Auditors. Designs and orders blank ticket stock, reprinted ticket stock, ticket envelopes, and/or brochures for activities and events, consulting with marketing/promotions staff. Answers inquiries and communicates information regarding upcoming events or new developments within the department to the press. Authorizes exceptions or deviations from policy, such as ticket refunds. Assists in setting prices for various activities and events. Resolves employee grievances and ensures compliance with applicable policies such as affirmative action. Hires, evaluates, promotes, and terminates employees, or makes related recommendations. May travel to out-of-town activities and events to distribute tickets. May coordinate with outside agencies. May supervise the Assistant Manager. (Source: eDOT Job Description)
