Solar Thermal Installer:
Installs equipment and energy systems that collect, store, and circulate solar energy for use in hot water systems.

Studies solar thermal system components’ location and system layout and configuration. Adapts the system design as needed. Inspects all provided system components for damage prior to installation. Conducts a site assessment and determines the required installation area, orientation, and tilt for proposed collector installation, ensuring structural integrity and suitability. Determines soil conditions and integrity for footing design and pipe path. Verifies that system to be installed is appropriate for the building and climate. Evaluates the suitability of selected mounting design, materials, and methods, and ensures compliance with applicable local codes. Installs and connects components of system, including solar collectors, water heater, storage tanks, piping, operation and identification tags, and all other mechanical, plumbing, and electrical equipment. Verifies the structural integrity and performance of all components and the overall system operation and functionality, ensuring that any deficiencies are resolved.
