Recovery Room Nurse: Treats and provides professional nursing care to patients in the recovery room unit of hospital, infirmary, or similar health care facility. Takes and documents patient's vital signs, to detect deviations from normal and evaluates physical condition of patient. Requires RN license as well as clinical experience.
Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques. Observes patient, checks dressings, documents significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient's condition and reaction to significant incidents.
