Works with departments to clarify goals and refine specifications for satisfying health services information needs. Interprets changes in data trends and serves as the impetus for further investigation.
Manages a health services department that is responsible for health services analyses used by management to accomplish corporate information priorities and address key corporate issues. Manages the work of personnel engaged in analyzing health services to support senior management in addressing key corporate issues.
Prepares and manages the departmental budget.
Hires, develops and motivates a qualified health services staff.
Works with departments to clarify goals and refine specifications for satisfying health services information needs.
Interprets changes in data trends and serves as the impetus for further investigation.
Develops and manages the creation, production and distribution of standard reports.
Formulates responses to ad hoc requests for information and verifies the accuracy of all reports and underlying data. Maintains a high level of interaction with all clinical areas to continually enhance and improve health services data. This position typically requires a college degree in a related field such as statistics or business and five years of experience in health services research.
