Prepares lab equipment, supplies, and proper setup for testing and experiments. Prepares and arranges slides, solutions, media, buffers, plates, and specimens for laboratory testing, following procedures and ensuring proper handling.
Performs basic experiments, tests, and analyses on biological or biochemical specimens, operating lab equipment and instruments, such as microscopes and spectrometry equipment, following lab safety procedures. Records detailed observations and measurements during lab tests. Decontaminates and cleans equipment, such as glassware, metal instruments, sinks, tables, and test panels. Sterilizes glassware and instruments, using autoclave. Labels tubes and specimen containers, and files microscope slides.
