Creates and maintains a library system, archival system, electronic and hard copy filing system, and the retention and destruction or disposal of all organization records and files. Formulates a record-maintenance system for all departments, drafts and prepares work instructions for the record retention policy, and oversees the company archives. Oversees the development, functional requirements, and implementation of records according to management policy, including uploading, maintaining, and archiving electronic records. Ensures that records are disposed or archived according to policies and legislative requirements.
Creates and maintains databases for the control and retrieval of stored information. Incorporates new information technologies into the records retention policies. Prepares, drafts, and monitors work instructions for record organization retention policies. Recommends and implements leading records management practices and process improvements. Provides communication to employees at all levels to build awareness of records management programs and practices. Develops and continually improves training tools and work instructions for ensuring compliance with records management program. Plans and manages records management related projects. Maintains knowledge of trends affecting records management and advises upper management on cost effective and efficient platforms to store and retrieve information.
