Vendor Relationship Manager:
Manages, develops, and negotiates relationships between vendors and the organization, serving as the primary liaison. Develops and executes sourcing strategies for the projects managed. Tracks and reports on vendor performance, schedules, quality, and expense management. Develops policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities.
Develops contracts, leading the negotiation of terms and support, and drafts RFP's. Coordinates purchasing activities within the vendor base to maintain inventories at planned levels. Develops and manages the daily production processes of vendors, vendor capacity planning, and vendor performance to meet or exceed contractual agreements. Collaborates with sales to ensure that internal business needs are met via supplier capabilities. Manages vendor billing, coordinating with accounts payable and vendor payments to ensure agreement terms are executed accurately. Develops and maintains day-to-day control, compliance, and program governance for each vendor managed. Performs audits of vendor operations and capabilities, and documents and follows-up on all audit findings, developing and implementing timely and effective corrective action plans.
