Supervises workers writing master orders used by production, shipping, invoicing, advertising, cost, and estimating departments. Assists in planning and implementing order-writing and processing procedures, using knowledge of company products, pricing methods, and discount classifications. This position typically reports to a manager and is the first level of supervision in the organization.

Analyzes order processing system and develops recommendations to improve methods and procedures relating to the receipt, booking, and processing of customer orders. Coordinates and supports the establishment and maintenance of customer order records, such as discount classifications, cost basis, special routing, and transportation information.
