Group Home Worker:
Maintains a healthy and safe environment for assigned clients in a residential Group Home. Serves as a healthy role model, using solution-talk therapeutic techniques and focusing on behavior management. Provides case management assistance, counseling and support to the clients, and clinical care during crises.
Demonstrates problem-solving abilities and promotes social growth skills to clients. Assists in directing daily hygiene care. Supervises the distribution and use of medication. Documents all non-awake and awake activities and records client behavior and progress. Reads daily logs to track progress and activities in the Group Home. Records accidents and incidents in a timely manner as outlined in the policies and procedures. Conducts and documents fire/safety drills, utility-inspections, and facility-safety checks. Assists in housekeeping duties, such as cleaning bathrooms, laundry, mopping, vacuuming floors, and maintaining a clean kitchen, if needed. Participates in meetings, including reviews of emergency policy and procedures, clinical team meetings, and trauma trainings. Maintains certifications, such as First Aid and CPR.
