Laboratory Analyst:
Performs laboratory analyses on samples and related work associated with field monitoring and sampling. Tests and analyzes raw materials, in-process samples, and products such as chemicals to determine stability, purity, chemical content, and other characteristics.
Follows standardized formulas or experimental procedures. Documents test results and communicates status of test results to internal customers. Maintains control of all samples submitted to the laboratory, reviews peer laboratory data, and performs stability protocol sampling and associated duties as assigned. Troubleshoots and performs minor maintenance and repair of laboratory instrumentation. Inventories, orders, and maintains adequate supplies of chemicals and other supplies for the labs. Assures accurate and timely input of data to information systems. Assures laboratory runs in a safe, clean, and environmentally sound manner in addition to maintaining detailed records for FDA, DEA, and/or safety and environmental purposes. Coordinates the procurement, installation, validation, and calibration of new laboratory instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure reliable, prompt, precise, and accurate test data.
