Manages the supply chain to meet the business unit/department operating plan, balancing service requirements and total delivered costs. Develops production plans to meet forecasted and actual demand requirements. Develops and maintains schedules based on new production/customer information and manufacturing status.

Interacts with customer service and plant schedulers to resolve issues and build consensus on supply strategy. Communicates issues to Business Management, Manufacturing, Sales, Customer Service, and/or Technical Service. Balances capacity with demand on a short-term and long-term basis. Maintains forecasted demand for company products at specific plants and transfer stations, possibly using forecasting models in SAP. Manages inventory investment throughout the chain to minimize working capital investment. Monitors, addresses, and resolves nonworking and slow moving inventory, which may involve redeployment to another customer, reworking into common product, and/or obtaining technical approval to consume in non-similar product family. Evaluates, incorporates, and/or generates ideas for new technology to improve overall planning and pricing operations. Analyzes data to create information on stock levels and forecasting requirements. Provides data to support manufacturing and business projects. Collaborates with function and business teams to identify and implement opportunities to optimize supply chain costs and service levels. Analyzes monthly gross margin dollars and/or percentages for plants and regional customers to identify poor performing customers and products. Works with commercial and manufacturing teams to improve product and operations performance through improved pricing or better asset alignment. Completes product pricing requests.
