Takes impressions for study casts, models, orthodontic appliances, and registrations. Instructs patients in oral and orthodontic hygiene, removable appliances, and tooth brushing techniques. Evaluates returning patients for unbonded brackets and loose or broken bands. Places and removes arch wires. Records treatment information in patient records.
