Ensures that all business transactions have been properly recorded and are accurately and completely reflected in company's general ledger. Performs monthly and annual account reconciliations. Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other statements or reports to summarize the company's current and projected financial position.
Calculates and maintains accruals, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules. Prepares sales and use tax returns. Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Answers accounting procedure questions through interpretation and researching of policies and regulations. Prepares management narrative related to financial performance. Complies with Federal, State, and local legal requirements. Compiles summary information and schedules for audit preparation and program monitors. Assists in year-end audit.
