Manages and coordinates the airline's Scheduling Department operation strategies and activities. Assists with the development and implementation of organization policies, practices, procedures, and attainment of operating goals. Optimizes aircraft utilization and deploys aircrafts in markets with maximum revenue potential in order to optimize revenue generation.
Meets with other operational departments, for information to aide in developing airline schedules. Determines flight times for current and future schedules, prepares current and future schedules, and verifies the accuracy and success of the process. Coordinates activities of department with related activities of other departments, such as Maintenance, Crews, and Fleet Planning, to ensure efficiency and economy. Evaluates current procedures and practices for accomplishing department objectives to develop and implement improved procedures and practices. Recognizes and maintains an understanding of the trends in the transportation industry, and seeks out, quantifies, and develops opportunities for improvement to the operations and execution of workflow processes.
