Portfolio Administrator: Oversees and coordinates all aspects of portfolio management activities for an organization or for a dedicated group of accounts. Manages the investment portfolio planning process, and oversees day-to-day management and monitoring of investment portfolios. Researches, develops, and deploys management strategies and technologies in an effort to enhance returns and control both investment and operational risk.
Supervises analysts who study the markets and identify various investment vehicles. Meets regularly with the analyst team and discusses alternatives. Studies data and develops an investment game plan. Decides which investment plans and projects make the most sense, and prioritizes each investment vehicle. Plans implementation and allocation of resources. Analyzes ongoing performance of portfolios and underlying securities. Identifies issues and problems, and responds quickly and decisively. Communicates pertinent investment details on portfolio positioning and current market and economic trends with senior management and Trust Administrators. Develops investment objectives and goals, with input from Trust Administrators and/or clients. Provides advice and guidance to clients and trust personnel. Ensures compliance and consistency with company investment policy provisions and tactical asset allocation decisions. Analyzes complex problems, and identifies appropriate solutions. Communicates with end clients on an as needed basis. Initiates and monitors required action to effect security transactions. Cultivates new trust and investment management accounts and retains current relationships.
