Cleaning Services General Manager:
Directs and coordinates activities of an institutional cleaning services organization to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits. Plans, develops, and establishes policies, goals, and objectives and implements goals through subordinate personnel. Provides overall strategic planning and direction of the organization.
Confers with organization management to plan business objectives, to develop organizational policies, and to coordinate functions. Directs and coordinates promotion of services performed to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position in industry. Promotes organization in industry, manufacturing, or trade associations. Provides support and assistance to all functions and operating units of the organization. Interprets company policy for employees and enforces company policy and practices. Counsels management on strategic planning and organization design processes, combined with recommendations and insights that contribute to overall plan strategic management and corporate direction. Inspects and evaluates physical condition of establishment, and submits recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings, relocation of equipment, and reallocation of space to higher management and Maintenance Department. Reads trade journals to keep informed of new and improved cleaning methods, products, supplies, and equipment. Organizes and directs organization training programs. Coordinates activities with those of other departments. Analyzes division or department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made, and allocates operating budget.
