Prepares and files external reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulatory agencies. Presents financial reports to senior management and members of the executive board. Participates in preparation of proxy statements. Oversees daily accounting transactions in compliance with GAAP. Coordinates month, quarter, and year-end reconciliations.
Analyzes and forecasts balance sheet and cash flows. Prepares external financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Coordinates Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program. Accounts for and prepares reports related to employee stock purchase and employee stock option plans, self insurance reserves, severance and restructuring and retirement asset obligations. Facilitates financial and statutory audits and reviews. Leads the adoption and implementation of new accounting pronouncements. Maintains and updates processes and internal controls. Participates in due diligence of prospective acquisitions. Gives work direction, resolves problems, prepares schedules, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work.
