Rental Sales Agent:
Provides rental sales and customer service support at the time of rental and return using the company's approved sales and service techniques. Facilitates the rental process through verification and documentation of all necessary information to provide for efficient and timely rental and return.
Determines customer needs and offers all optional rental products and/or services. Prepares all rental and return documents accurately and completely. Qualifies each customer using the company's rental requirement guidelines. Offers all customers assistance with directions, maps, local area information, appropriate service information, etc. Reviews rental parameters with all customers to ensure a complete understanding of the rates, service charges, and terms and conditions of rental, and obtains customer signatures. Ensures that the return date and time on the rental agreement is accurate. Reviews all charges at the time of return. Answers the phone and greets customers entering and exiting the rental counter area. Assists customers by effectively resolving all customer service issues. Contacts and notifies customers of overdue rentals, inquires as to the expected date of return, and processes rental extensions. Maintains and updates rental agreement files and location logs. Completes, reviews, and submits various reports to supervisor. Maintains the appearance of the rental counters and areas to present a neat and orderly image. Ensures that the counter is stocked with appropriate supplies. May balance money in counter drawers, retrieve amount of money collected during shift, complete deposit slips, and deposit money.
