Plans, installs, directs, coordinates, and evaluates an administrative management organization within the facility to integrate functions such as fiscal planning and controls, staffing, procurement and storekeeping, grounds and building maintenance, transportation, communication, housekeeping, dietary, and safety programs. Ensures continuity and consistency in delivery and quality of services. Develops and implements an annual business plan that achieves financial goals while meeting reasonable customer expectations. Prepares staffing schedules to ensure that adequate numbers of appropriately trained professional and auxiliary personnel are on duty at all times to meet the needs of residents. Resolves problems encountered by nursing home staff, medical staff, visitors, or residents. Manages, coordinates, and evaluates the staff and services for the nursing facility. Implements programs and changes to enhance resident satisfaction and provide for new or prospective resident needs. Maintains high occupancy by developing and implementing marketing strategies. Develops, maintains and implements policies and procedures. Hires, trains and motivates a qualified staff. Prepares and manages the operational budget.
