Schedules usage of studio and editing facilities needed by producers, and engineering and maintenance staff to maximize use of facilities, according to scheduled events. Operates television broadcasting equipment, such as switcher, video and color monitors, tape decks, lights and microphones to train workers or to substitute for absent employees. Operates portable, shoulder-mounted camera to record or broadcast live programs from location of event. May direct subordinates in auditioning talent and proposed programs.
