Recommends changes in procedures to effect savings in time, labor, and other costs, and to improve operating efficiency. Assigns new workers to experienced workers for assistance in training. Assists subordinates in resolving problems in nonstandard situations. Supervises word processing operators engaged in reading instructions to determine procedures to be followed regarding material to be prepared or revised and required format for finished copy; typing original material from written or printed copy, machine dictation, or related sources; and proofreading and correcting typographical errors.
