Job Description: Administers and oversees daily operation of internal or external websites, ensuring system is available for internet traffic. Resolves any encountered problems. Evaluates, develops, and maintains file servers and related systems, and monitors the usage of them. Manages security, system performance, and system backup. Requires knowledge of operating systems and server software. : Reads technical manuals and brochures to determine equipment that meets establishment requirements. Enters diagnostic commands into computer to determine nature of problem, and reads codes on screen to diagnose problem. Enters operating commands into computer to restart program. Records number of daily data communications transactions, number of problems, logs and other statistics. Develops and writes procedures for installation, use, and solving problems of communications hardware and software. May assist in presenting to management recommendations related to purchasing and installing hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment. May establish and implement policies, procedures, and standards and ensures their conformance with information systems and company's objectives.
