Job Description:
Supervises and impels a field sales force to ensure maximum profits through sales of products or services in one or more territories. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with the sales force, distributor management, and key customers or clients. Job is distinguished by the requirement for a technical background and advanced sales knowledge and experience.: Coordinates and assists with technical engineering to ascertain customers' needs. Directs sales campaigns in new territories. Provides assistance to Sales Representatives in promoting new accounts. Provides training or training support to ensure current knowledge of sales promotion and advertising programs, new products, and marketing policies. Recommends changes in the number and disposition of the sales force; recommends promotions, transfers, terminations, and salary adjustments. Recommends appointment or cancellation of distributors. Operates within approved budgetary cost controls. Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and programs. Keeps management current and fully informed on key market conditions.
